Floral Fire
The gentlest way in
Lemon and mint up front, ginger underneath, and no chilli in it at all.
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, Fresh Lemon, Fresh Ginger Root, Fresh Mint, Fresh Turmeric Root, Whole Cinnamon Sticks, Whole Star Anise, Whole Cloves
Eight whole ingredients go into every jar and sit in raw apple cider vinegar for weeks, and nothing gets strained out at the end.
Every bottle starts with raw apple cider vinegar that still has the mother in it. It’s one reason the bottle goes cloudy, and why the label tells you to shake it.
There’s no caffeine in it. In Bold Roots and Deep Heat the heat is fresh jalapeño and ginger root, steeped for weeks. Floral Fire keeps the ginger and leaves the chilli out.
Bold Roots and Deep Heat get it fresh and raw, straight into the vinegar, so the bite you taste is the sharp raw-garlic one, not the mellow cooked kind.
Bold Roots and Floral Fire get it as fresh root, never powder, and it’s where the earthy, slightly bitter note comes from.
Depending on the blend that’s lemon and mint, rosemary and thyme, or cinnamon and clove, and we kept adjusting them until we could drink it without a chaser.
A teaspoon or two before a meal, straight off the spoon or stirred into water, still or sparkling.
It’s still vinegar, so it goes wherever vinegar goes. Use it instead of the plain stuff in a dressing and the salad picks up the ginger and the heat. It’s good in a Caesar too.
All three blends are $21.99 and steeped in Brantford. Collect yours free from Our Kitchen Brantford, or get in touch and we’ll sort out delivery.
